Requirements:
All equipment must be new and installed at a location served power by Nodak Electric.
Electric heating system must participate in a demand response program with a qualified backup heating system.
Electric heat must be the primary heat source designed to heat the building.
Electric heat is individually metered under a special rate.
Electric heating equipment must be hard wired (no plug-in loads eligible for rebate).
Air-source heat pumps and mini-splits do not have to be a part of an off-peak heating system to be eligible for this rebate.
Rebate not to exceed $1,500 for all heating equipment rebates per off-peak electric heat meter.
Request can be made to exceed maximum rebate for large installations. Rebate will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Rebate checks will be mailed after a visit from a Nodak Electric Cooperative technician.
Off-peak electric water heater
$125/unit rebate – 55 gallons or less
$200/unit rebate – 56-99 gallons
$300/unit rebate – 100 gallons or greater
Additional $250 – Gas to electric conversion
Additional $100 – New construction
Requirements:
Must be a new purchased electric water heater and installed at a location served power by Nodak Electric.
Water heater must participate in a Demand Response Program.
Must be at least 240 volts and hard wired.
Water heaters that are 80 gallons stone-lined or 100+ gallon conventional are metered under a special rate.
Tankless water heaters do not qualify for rebate.
Hybrid heat pump water heaters do not qualify for rebate.
Multifamily dwellings do not qualify for rebate; however, exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Rebate limit of $550 per member/customer account.
Maximum $300 rebate for the coupling of two water heaters in parallel or series.
Rebate checks will be mailed after a visit from a Nodak Electric Cooperative technician.
Off-peak electric vehicle charger
$50/kW rebate
Requirements:
All equipment must be new and installed at a location served power by Nodak Electric.
Must be a Level 2 or Level 3 charger.
Charging equipment must be 240 volts or more and hard wired.
Rebate limit of $750 per member/customer account.
Residential and business chargers must be on a Demand Response Program.
Scheduled charging times:
October through May: noon to 5 p.m. and 11 p.m.to 7 a.m.
June through September: midnight to 10 a.m.
Public charging infrastructures not on a Demand Response Program, contact Nodak Electric Cooperative for rebate opportunities, as they will be issued on a case-by-case basis.
